dropr.cloud (“dropr”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can manage it. By using dropr, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Data We Collect

When you create an account and use dropr, we may collect the following information:

  • Account information — your name, email address, phone number, username, and profile photo.
  • Location data — your geographic coordinates when you choose to share your location.
  • Posts and content — text, photos, and other media you share on the platform.
  • Messages — direct messages exchanged with other users.
  • Usage data — how you interact with dropr, including pages visited, features used, and timestamps.
  • Device information — browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

  • Provide the service — display your profile, deliver your posts, facilitate messaging, and enable location-based features.
  • Send notifications — inform you about activity relevant to your account, such as new followers, messages, and emergency alerts.
  • Improve dropr — analyse aggregate usage patterns to make the platform better for the courier community.
  • Ensure safety — detect and prevent abuse, spam, and violations of our Terms & Conditions.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Period.

We may share limited data with the following third parties, only as necessary to operate the service:

  • OAuth providers — Google and Apple, solely for authentication when you choose to sign in with those services.
  • Email delivery — a transactional email provider for sending account confirmations, password resets, and notifications.
  • Hosting infrastructure — cloud service providers that host our servers and databases.

We will never share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

dropr uses minimal browser storage for essential functionality:

  • JWT authentication tokens — stored in localStorage to keep you signed in.
  • Theme preference — your light/dark mode choice, stored in localStorage.
  • Language preference — your selected interface language, stored in localStorage.

We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

5. Location Data

Location is central to the dropr experience. We use your location to:

  • Show nearby couriers and posts.
  • Enable the emergency assistance feature for couriers in need.
  • Display relevant place information.

Location data is only collected with your explicit consent via your browser or device permissions. You can revoke location access at any time through your device settings. Your last known location is stored on our servers to power nearby features, and is updated only when you actively use location-dependent features.

6. Media Uploads

Photos and other media you upload to dropr are stored on our servers. Media attached to posts is visible to other users according to the visibility of that post. You can delete your uploaded media by deleting the associated post or updating your profile.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data — view the information we hold about you via your profile and Settings.
  • Correct inaccurate data — update your name, email, phone, and other details in Settings.
  • Delete your data — permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings. This action is irreversible.
  • Export your data — request a copy of your data by contacting us.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data, posts, messages, and media are permanently removed from our systems. Some anonymised, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.

Posts and content remain on the platform until you choose to delete them or delete your account.

9. Children

dropr is not intended for anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we become aware that a user is under 16, we will promptly delete their account and associated data.
